YSL Co-Founder Denied Bond In RICO Case

ATLANTA- The alleged co-founder of the record label and alleged gang YSL was denied bond.

Walter Murphy was denied bond by a judge Tuesday at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta, reports WSB-TV.

Defense attorney Jacoby Hudson argued that “the whole case” is about rapper Young Thug, who is among 26 others charged in the indictment with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, according to Complex.

“The whole case is about Jeffery, Young Thug, Jeffery Lamar Williams,” Hudson said. “That’s who they want. My client don’t wanna talk about Jeffery Williams.”

Murphy says that YSL is more of a “record label or a family”, not what prosecutors are making them out to be, which are alleged gang members and criminals.

Murphy is expected to file for a reconsideration of the denied bond within 90 days.
