Amanda Seales has exited ‘The Real’ talk show.
Seales went on her Instagram Live and broke the news that she was leaving because she feels as if she doesn’t have “a voice” on the show, which she’s been co-hosting for just 6 months.
Seales told actor Brandon Victor Dixon on her Live “I’m not in a space where I can, as a full black woman, have my voice and my co-workers also have their voices and where the people at the top are not respecting the necessity for black voices to be at the top too.’
Honestly, I’ve seen the comments on ‘The Real’ IG page, and I’m very aware of who Seales is, but a lot of people haven’t been satisfied with her as a co-host, saying that she simply turns every conversation into a race issue and the show has somehow turned sour and boring (which I agree with).
People began to assume that she may have left the show due to conflict with her co-hosts, but she cleared that up really quick on social media, writing “Y’all so f***king corny,” “There is a whole pandemic and an uprising going on, and you still can’t find sh*t else to do but try and create some kind of conflict that doesn’t exist? ….What I gotta do with my business ain’t got nothing to do with them sisters.”
