Police in Baton Rouge have arrested a suspect in connection to LSU Tigers player Wayde Sims.
20 year old Dyteon Simpson was arrested for shooting Sims to death.
Simpson has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
Police say on Fri morning they took DNA from a pair of eyeglasses found on the scene that Simpson had left behind and that helped them identify him.
Sims was shot during an altercation outside of a Subway restaurant on Friday morning. A video that was obtained by WBRZ shows several men fighting and Sims getting hit by a bullet, where he was seen collapsing on the ground. The video also captured the men fleeing right after.
Sims died from a gunshot wound to his head later at the hospital.
