Ashanti’s concert cancelled due to low sales.Yikes!

Singer Ashanti who once signed to Murda Ink records was scheduled to perform at a show for Stony Brook University as part of their “Back to the Brook”  concert but the show never happened and here’s why.

According to Bossip, Stony Brook University released a statement explaining and they cited “low ticket sales” as to why the show was cancelled. The University states that only 24 tickets were sold. Yikes.

“As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion,” the statement read. “However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With only a week before the concert, only 24 tickets were sold to students.”

Singer Teyana Taylor was originally supposed to headline the event, but reportedly pulled out two weeks prior to the concert. That supposedly gave the University little time to promote the event with Ashanti as the headliner.

So much for a singer who took to Snapchat telling everyone that she should have received  J.lo’s MTV Award this year….. Does this mean her career is over? You decide.
