Baby Found Alive Inside Houston Dumpster, Suspect Identified

HOUSTON, TEXAS – A newborn baby was found alive inside of a dumpster, according to police.

On July 21, shortly before 2 p.m., Emergency Medical Services were called to a location behind an apartment complex, KTRK reports.

In video footage shows first responders can be seen taking the baby, whose ambilocal cord was still attached, out of a dumpster surrounded by trash and supplying him with an oxygen mask after wrapping him in a receiving blanket.

The newborn is doing well and is now with Child Protective Custody (CPS).

A suspect has been identified, but there are no further details.
