BRONX- The NYPD has arrested a father after he left his baby on the train.
Police say that the 1-month-old was found on the Burnside Ave train station, which is an above ground station on Sunday morning at around 3 a.m. by a man, who then took the baby to a local precinct.
According to PIX11, police later arrested the father, 21-year Dondre Hunter around 7 a.m. at the 125th precinct and charged him with abandonment of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The mother picked up the baby, and told police that he had taken the baby to a party the night before, and she was worried and scared when Hunter didn’t return with the baby.
She would also like to thank the good samaritan who found her baby..
If the baby was found any later, it would’ve most likely died due to freeezing weather we’re having.
