Battle over DMX’s estate between ex-fiancé and kids

A legal battle has begun over rapper DMX’s estate.

The rapper’s fiancée Desiree Lindstorm filed documents in court to be legally declared DMX’s “common law wife”, but a judge denied her request, reports Page Six.

If Lindstorm was legally determined to be DMX’s “common law wife”, she would have had control of his estate over all 14 of his children and would’ve received any earnings from his music, Page Six reported.

Lindstorm and DMX have a 5-year-old son named Exodus together.

The court must appoint administrators, in order for an estate to be set up for future earnings that the late rapper would receive.

DMX’s three sons from his former marriage to Tashera Simmons, Xavier, 28, Tacoma, 21, and Sean, 19, have petitioned the court to be administrators.

The rapper also has two adult daughter’s from a previous relationship, Jada Oden and Sasha Simmons who have also filed a petition to be administrators.

In the state of New York, only descendants over 18 years of age can be appointed administrators.

Unfortunaly, the rapper left no will behind.

The next court date is July 15, where the judge will appoint administrators.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, overdosed in April and died after being on life support. He was 5o.

His posthumous album “Exodus” was recently released.
