‘Beyond Scared Straight’ star Ashley Tropez was found dead inside an abandoned home, police said.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department were called about a “dead body” inside of an abandoned house around 11:10 a.m. on Friday.
When officers arrived at the scene, police found Tropez, 24, “suffering from traumatic injuries.” She was later pronounced dead.
Police say that Tropez and another woman were squatting at the home together.
The woman who was staying at the abandoned home with Tropez was identified as Alexis Call, 24. She was named a suspect and has been charged with murder.
Tropez appeared on the reality series in 2011. The show is aimed at helping troubled youths by putting them in a program where they interact with prisoners.
The Emmy Award winning show stopped airing after 9 seasons.
