MIAMI, FLORIDA- A blogger who was shot at rapper French Montana’s video shoot is reportedly planning on suing.
Carl Leon says he was invited to French’s’ music video shoot on Thursday night outside of The Licking restaurant, his attorney said, according to NBC Miami.
Leon’s attorney said sometime during a break from the shoot, his client heard gunshots. Not knowing what was happening, he ran and “fell at some point,” Josiah Graham said, reports NBC Miami.
When Leon got up, he discovered he had been shot, Graham added.
Leon was shot in his stomach and hand; a bullet also grazed his ear.
9 other people were shot, including Rob49 and French Montana’s bodyguard who was seriously injured.
Leon is currently recovering, and his attorney says he does plan on filing a lawsuit.
Miami Police are blaming French, saying The Bronx rapper didn’t seek a permit to shoot the video.
French has since released a statement about the incident, apologizing, saying it was the “wrong place at the wrong time.”
