Body Discovered Near Mississippi Birthday Cruise Where 21-Year-Old Went Missing

MISSISSIPPI- A body was recovered near the Mississippi River where a 21-year-old went missing after going on a birthday cruise, police said.

Tamia Taylor disappeared after a party boat celebration for her 21st birthday on Sept. 9. She was last seen with some partygoers who were aboard a Memphis Riverboat cruise, ABC 24 reports.

Two weeks later, police have now discovered a body on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River.

There are no details on the body, but authorities are waiting for an autopsy.

Taylor never returned to her family’s house after the cruise on Sept. 10. That’s when they called police to file a missing person’s report.

The company who’s in charge of the booze cruise says there is no evidence that Taylor fell overboard and say that she was actually seen as the boat pulled into the harbor.
