MISSISSIPPI- A body that was found floating in a Mississippi river has been identified as Philemon Depaul Jones, who was a defensive lineman for the Bulldogs.
According to The Clarion Ledger, Jones lost contact with his family on Jan. 20. It’s being reported that he was suffering from sort of undisclosed medical condition.
27-year-old Jones was found in a private lake floating face-down, 20 feet off of the shore, wearing underwear and socks.
A cause of death is not known at this time, but police are suspecting foul play. Jones was identified by his finger prints.
Jones was a defensive lineman for the Bulldogs from 2011 to 2014.
