NORTH CAROLINA- The body of a woman was found inside of a suitcase, and it may be a missing woman police have been searching for.
Police discovered the body on Monday near a river, CBS 17 reports.
They had went through that area all weekend in the search for 28-year-old Brittany Samone Smith, who had been reported missing on Thursday.
Smith is pregnant.
Police aren’t confirming if the body discovered on Monday is Smith until a report is conducted with the medical examiner’s office.
There are “persons of interest”, but there aren’t any suspects in custody.
