RALEIGH- Police discovered the body of Emily Montgomery on Saturday, who was reported missing the day after Thanksgiving, according to a press conference by the Apex Police Dept.
Montgomery, 26, was last seen alive on Nov. 25, at her home.
She was reported missing by her family the day after Thanksgiving.
On Dec. 9, police arrested and charged Montgomery’s boyfriend, Jose Carlos Jacome-Granizo, with first-degree murder in connection to her death.
According to search warrants obtained by The News and Observer, Montgomery had texted her friend that Montgomery was going to kill her.
On Nov. 26, Montgomery texted her friend that she and Jacome- Granizo were arguing. She then texted her friend that she was going to kill her boyfriend, before he killed her.
Montgomery’s last chilling text message hors later read “It is going to happen he is going to kill me first.”
Jacome-Granizo told police in an interview that he had dropped Montgomery off at his mother’s home for Thanksgiving, but she refused to go inside and that she had vanished 30 minutes later.
Montgomery leaves a 5-year-old boy behind.
