NY- The body of a missing 14-year-old girl was found in a river months after she was reported missing, police said.
Police are investigating the death of Samantha Humphrey who was last seen alive on Nov. 25, 2022 at the Riverside Park in Schenectady NY, according to PEOPLE.
She never returned home, after meeting up with her boyfriend, her family says on her GoFundMe page which was launched by her mother.
Police recovered her body on Feb. 22 in the Mohawk River, the Schenectady Police Department said at a press release, according to reports.
Humphrey’s coat was discovered in the same river and had what appeared to be blood on the hood, the family said. Her body was then discovered by a fisherman three months later, WYNT reported.
Humprey was a ninth grader in High School.
Police are reportedly waiting for autotypy reports.
