Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro has deployed about 44,000 troops to tackle the Amazon from burning down, as it has been for too long.
The president made the order on Friday.
The troops will be going to the Amazon rainforest, and 6 Brazilian states that are asking for federal help.
There have been 75,000 fires in the Amazon this year alone, which is mostly due to loggers and farmers who have basically been given the right to do what they want as Bolsonaro sits back taking checks.
Many have called Bolsonaro out for allowing the deforestation that is taking place to make room for farmers and loggers.
The Amazon rainforest is called the “worlds lungs” as it provides more than 20% of our oxygen.
The recent fires have been going on for several weeks.
May they be stopped…
