MEXICO – A bride was arrested on the day of her wedding for alleged extortion.
The woman identified as Nancy N. was taken away in her dress and handcuffs while inside of a church. She was reportedly taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in late December.
Her husband was also facing arrest after being wanted for some charges, but he managed to escape.
The couple are accused of extorting chicken merchants on Dec. 22 in Toluca near Mexico City.
Six other people were also arrested for their involvement in the scam.
