BRONX, N.Y.,- A father has been charged after police say that he beat his 6-week-old twins in his Bronx apartment.
According to The New York Daily News, authorities say that 27-year-old Jonathan Melendez has been charged with aggravated assault and child endangerment after his twins were sent to a New Jersey Hospital after he beat them.
The mother had dropped the twins off at Melendez’s home, only to take them to the Hospital on Wednesday when one of the babies became unresponsive.
It was then that doctor’s told her the babies had suffered bleeding in their brain, along with fractured thigh and leg bones.
N.J. police arrested Melendez when he had the nerve to visit the twins at the Hospital.
The injuries that these babies endured are so severe that the baby boy is in critical condition and doctors said that he may not live. As for the other twin, her condition is stable.
