Bronx Teen Arrested In Killing Of Chicago Drill Rapper Money Gang Vontae

THE BRONX, NYC- A teen has been arrested in the killing of Chicago drill rapper Money Gang Vontae, police said.

18-year-old River Jones was arrested by investigators on Wednesday at a dorm on the Monroe College campus in Westchester County. He’s now facing a second-degree murder charge in the June 9 killing of the rapper, whose real name is Avanti Frowner, according to prosecutors, reports The New York Post.

Jones was one of four suspects who allegedly beat and robbed Frowner in broad daylight at a Bronx pharmacy on E Tremont, before he was killed. His tragic death was caught on video footage.

Police say one of the suspects, who remains on the loose, allegedly shot Frowner in his torso and body 4 times.

Frowner was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are looking for more suspects.

Jones is also facing charges of first-degree manslaughter, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon and robbery in the first and second degrees.
