According to a press conference, police say that an 18-year-old man was showing off his new gun to his 19-year-old sister, a junior at Syracuse University, who had been home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when the gun accidentally went off, killing her.
Police say that the unidentified victim was found on Tuesday, in a room along with her 18-year-old brother, KTRK reported. An older sibling had performed CPR on her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
