Burt Young, ‘Rocky’ Actor, Dies At 83

Actor Burt Young, best known for his role in “Rocky” has died at 83.

Young, a former boxer, known for playing the bad guys in Hollywood, reportedly died earlier this month, according to his manager.

Young was best known for his role as Rocky Balboa’s brother-in-law Paulie in the “Rocky” movie franchise. He won a best supporting actor Academy Award nomination for his performance.

Sylvester Stallone, who starred as Rocky paid tribute to the actor on Wednesday.

‘To my Dear Friend, BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible man and artist, I and the World will miss you very much…RIP,” he wrote under a photo of him and Young from a scene from one of their films together.

Young was a Queens native, who entered the Marines at the age of 16, where he began boxing and continued professionally when he left with famed trainer and manager Cus D’Amato.
