Cardi B’s catchphrase ‘Okurr’ will not be trademarked, yikes.
According to The Blast, the reality star turned rapper’s request was denied by the U.S. patent and trademark officials. In court documents The Blast obtained, they say the word is a “widely-used commonplace expression”.
They say it’s so common that the catchphrase was used during several episodes of the Kardashian’s show back in 2017.
Cardi B’s fans also attempted to trademark the word before her.
She filed two different applications, with the phrase spelled with 2 R’s and then 3, but that didn’t work.
Cardi B was actually planning on having this catchphrase on her furniture line, for clothing and more.
