NEW YORK- Reality star turned rapper, Cardi B, has settled her lawsuit with her former manager Klenord “Shaft” Raphael, according to Pitchfork.
According to court documents, the lawsuit, including claims and counterclaims, is “hereby dismissed in its entirety with prejudice against all parties.”
The documents filed on December 24 state that “the parties have further agreed that all parties to this action shall bear their own costs and attorney’s fees.”
Raphael, who’s listed as a co-writer for “Bodak Yellow”, sued Cardi B in 2018, for $10 million, claiming that he had discovered her, and played a huge role in developing her career and image. Later that year, Cardi changed labels, leaving KSR Group to Solid Foundation.
Cardi B filed a countersuit against Raphael for $30 million in July of 2018, claiming that he was “deceitful and disloyal, put “barriers between Cardi, and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her.” She also claimed that he allegedly wanted to control who she saw romantically.
Cardi B even tweeted about the lawsuit, writing “It feels good to be free” in response to a tweet.
