Cardi B’s case is now heading to trial; what this means for her

Reality star turned rapper Cardi B was in a Queens court on Friday for her hearing stemming from a alleged fight she had with two bartenders.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, rejected a plea deal last month, where she would have plead guilty to one misdemeanor charge in exchange for no jail time and anger management classes.

Prosecutors told the court today that they will be presenting her case to a grand jury.

Her lawyer says she didn’t harm anybody.

Cardi B is facing assault charges and misdemeanor reckless endangerment in connection with her alleged attack on two bottle girls at a Queens strip club, who happen to be sisters. This was because she allegedly thought her husband, rapper Offset from the rap group Migos (who’s known for cheating on her) was having an affair with one of them.

The sister’s, go by “Baddie Gi” and “Jade”, who is currently dating rapper Tekashi69, who’s currently serving jail time.

One of the sisters was injured and another employee. The sisters also said that they lost their jobs over this.

On top of what she’s being accused of doing, the sisters also allege that she also had men from her entourage throw more bottles and even chairs at them.

Cardi B will be returning to court on August 9th.
