Watts said “As a leader of a team where women contribute unselfishly, in a business where the majority of our audience is women, as a son, a brother and a husband of a devoted family, and to hear and see the pain and suffering that is real for so many, effective immediately, we will no longer play the music of R. Kelly.”

Some listeners have given the station mixed reviews, with some agreeing with the station and other listeners saying they will no longer tune in.

Chicago is R.Kelly’s hometown.

Ever since the documentary “Surviving R.Kelly” came out, it has brought up a lot of talk, and change in the music industry. Some artist like John Legend, Nick Cannon, Lady Gaga and others have shared how they regret working with him and they will no longer stay shut up about the accusations brought up by these women. Some are blaming the alleged victims.

Over 2 million viewers tuned in to watch the documentary that had over 50 interviews and was shown in parts over a period of five days. This documentary has now opened up investigations in two different states and has sent R.Kelly to the hospital for panic attacks..
