Rapper, co-founder Gift Of Gab has died at the age of 50.
The rapper, whose real name is Timothy Jerome Parker, had been suffering from kidney failure, and died from natural causes.
Parker died on Friday, and DJ Xavier “Chief Xcel” Mosley confirmed the news on social media, writing:
“It is with much sadness and a heavy heart I announce the passing of my friend and brother of 34 years, Timothy Jerome Parker aka The Gift of Gab,” Mosley wrote. “He returned peacefully to the essence on June 18, 2021.”
Parker formed Blackalicious with Mosley while both of them were in college.
The duo released a few EP’s in the 90’s, followed up by their debut album, “Nia” and then “AG2”, which featured the iconic track “Alphabet Aerobics” where Gift Of Gab showed off his true lyricism.
