CONNECTICUT- A 14-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting of a 15-year-old girl at the Danbury Fair Mall last week, police say.
The 14-year-old turned himself in to Danbury police on Monday, along with his mother and lawyer.
The teen boy is accused of shooting the 15-year-old in the chest while at the mall.
Police say that an argument ensued between two groups of people and that the victim was not the intended target. The shooter fled the scene after the shooting.
The victim luckily survived, suffering non-life threatening injuries.
I posted the alert from Danbury Police on social media after the mall was shut down due to the shooting.
