KERN COUNTY, California: Convicted child molester Agustin Duran was killed by another inmate, after just one week in a California prison. Reports say that on July 7th at around 7 p.m. Andres Ayon allegedly began punching Duran repeatedly and his upper torso. The prison alarm went off sending all inmates to drop on the ground, except for Ayon, who was still allegedly beating Duran. According to authorities the teenager was eventually pepper sprayed by grenades. Duran was then airlifted to a Hospital, where he was pronounced dead the next day at around 4:48 p.m., according to authorities. Ayon had been held in CDCR custody since June, serving a 6 year sentence for a second-degree robbery and use of a deadly weapon. He suffered minor injuries during the attack. 66 year old Duran was serving 55 years to life with the possibility of parole, after he was convicted of lascivious and lewd acts with a child under 14 years old.
