Police in South Jersey have raided the home of a couple who raised a lot of money on Gofundme for a homeless man who says he hasn’t received all of his money that equals close to half a million dollars.
As reported by Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV, Kate McClure and Mark D’Amico’s home in Bordentown was raided by investigators Thursday morning.
A BMW was seen being towed away at the couples home and bags of items were also seen being removed from the residence.
Johnny Bobbit’s attorney claims that the couple never gave Bobbit all of his money and they instead spent a large portion of the money on gambling, shopping sprees, a BMW and lavish trips.
No charges have been filed against the couple as of yet.
This story that took over the headlines happened when the couple raised money for the vet after he came to their rescue when the girlfriends car broke down with no gas outside of Philadelphia and Bobbit gave them $20.
