The TV show ‘Cops’ has been cancelled after decades of being on the air.
A spokesperson for Paramount confirmed the information with The Hollywood Reporter, and told them that the show “is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return.”
This comes after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after a police officer held his knee on him for over 9 minutes.
The show first premiered on the Fox network in 1989, airing for 25 seasons. The show then made a come-back in 2013 when it got picked up by Spike TV, who then rebranded themselves as Paramount Network in 2018.
