Corrections Officer Sentenced In Connection To Drug Ring Fetty Wap Assisted, Report

NEW JERSEY- A former corrections officer was sentenced to federal prison for transporting cocaine in a drug ring that Fetty Wap is accused of assisting, according to a report.

Anthony Cyntje, 25, was sentenced in federal court to serve six years in prison on March 8 for transporting, according to Patch.com.

Cyntje pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin, cocaine base and cocaine and two counts of possession of a firearm in connection with a drug ring trafficking crime, according to Eastern District of New York court documents filed with the Long Island, reports Patch.com.

Cyntje brought kilos of cocaine from Long Island to New Jersey. He was a state corrections officer when he was arrested and worked at a New Jersey State Prison, according to state records, the outlet reports.

Cyntje was arrested and charged in Oct. 2021.

He was charged with five other men, including New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap, whose real name is William Junior Maxwell II.

Fetty Wap pleaded guilty in federal court in Aug. of 2022.

The men are accused of trafficking over 100 kilograms of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin and crack cocaine. The drugs reportedly came from the West Coast.
