LOS ANGELES- The man accused of attacking comedian Dave Chapelle is an aspiring rapper who once named one of his songs after the comedian.
Isaiah Lee, 23, who goes by the stage name NoName Trapper, according to The Daily Beast, named one of his songs “Dave Chappell” (but dropped the E) after the comedian in June of 2020.
Dave Chapelle was performing for the ‘Netflix Is A Joke Festival’ on Tuesday night when he was allegedly tackled and slammed on the stage by Lee.
Lee was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, according to the LAPD.
He still remains in jail.
