FLORIDA- A day care worker has been charged after being accused of breaking a 4-month-old baby’s leg, police say.
Thalia Camarillo, 42, is accused of breaking the baby’s on Sept. 16, at the day care, according to the Bradenton Herald.
The baby was taken to a Hospital by the parents, and the staff alerted police after suspecting child abuse.
Investigators determined that the baby was hurt at the day care, which was across the street from the Hospital. The baby had to be transferred to another Hospital due it’s severe injuries.
Detectives obtained a search warrant to get surveillance camera footage from the day care, and it showed Camarillo slapping the baby several times and then twisting the baby’s leg, police say.
Camarillo was charged with first-degree child abuse, which is a felony.
