GEORGIA- Two day care employees have been charged with child abuse after they were allegedly caught on camera abusing a 3-year-old boy.
The women allegedly slammed the boy to the floor, pulled him up by his hair as if it was a leash and threw him into a corner where they slapped and punched him multiples times, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
Police say the incident happened on July 6 at the Clarkston First Baptist Academy.
The boy’s mother, Krystin Collier, said in an interview that her son had visible bruises on him on the day of the incident and was upset when his grandmother picked him up.
The mother knew something had happened to her son and went to the church daycare demanding to see footage from that day.
The daycare turned the footage over to her on July 13, and she said what she witnessed made her sick.
“The staff punched my child in the face, grab him by his ponytail, and led him around like it’s a leash. I watched her grab him by his top ponytail, slam him against the wall, punch him in the face,” Collier told CBS46.
She said after watching the video, she took her son out of the daycare and called police.
