Detective In YNW Melly’s Murder Case Will Testify That Rapper Was The Alleged Shooter

FLORIDA- A detective will take the stand against rapper YNW Melly in his upcoming murder trial.

Police detective Christopher Williams, who will be called by prosecutors as an expert witness, believes that it’s “more likely” that Melly was the triggerman behind the fatal shooting, and not his co-defendant Cortlen Henry, that killed their two best friends, reports TMZ.

According to TMZ, “Detectives Williams says he reconstructed the shooting by looking at blood splatter and the angles of the bullet holes and gunshot wounds… and it appears the shooter was seated on the backseat, behind the driver, and shot the victim from the inside the car”, TMZ reported.

YYNW Melly’s trial is set to begin on July 6.

The rapper was charged with two counts of murder in the first degree. He faces the possibility of a death sentence if convicted.

Henry is also facing murder charges and being an accessory after the facet. His trail will be tried separately. There is set date for his trial.

Melly is accused of allegedly fatally shooting his best friends, Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr., and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams after leaving a recording studio in Oct. of 2018.

Melly claims he wasn’t at the scene at the time of the killings and Henry has stated the same.
