DETROIT, Michigan: A Detroit retailer is doing whatever they can in their power to block a trademark that’s being sought by Eminem and here’s why. According to the Detroit Free Press, Clement (Fame) Brown who is a fashion designer and the operator of the “Three Thirteen shop” is contesting a trademark request that was filed by Eminem in 2017 for an apparel clothing line called “E13”. In Em’s logo the E is is backwards, which creates the visual effect of “313”. 313 is Detroit’s area code. Eminem’s “E13” clothing line was released in 2016, and has collaborated with Nike & has partnered with Carhartt who have have sold “E13” hats, hoodies and other merchandise at their flag store in Detroit. Three Thirteen vs 313. Will Eminem lose this battle? I’ll keep you guy’s updated. Photo cred: Bet
