FLORIDA- A 4-year-old girl is dead, and a 5-year-old girl is in serious condition after a woman plowed through a preschool playground on Wednesday.
Kiara Morant, 18, was driving an SUV around 4:30 p.m. when she crashed into the fenced playground where the two girls were playing.
According to a report, Morant, who didn’t have a valid driver’s license, drove over a raised concrete curb, hit a street sign, slid across the sidewalk and crashed into a chain-link fence at the preschool, reports Fox News.
The two little girls were playing in that area and were both struck, before the vehicle crashed into a tree and stopped.
The 4-year-old girl was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The 5-year-old girl was placed in serious condition.
Morant was arrested on felony charges for not having a driver’s license and bonded out before the girl died.
She now may face additional charges.
