Elderly couple shot and killed inside cemetery
DELAWARE- An elderly couple was killed in a cemetery and police have a suspect in custody.
Authorities say that 29-year Sheldon C. Francis shot and killed a 86-year-old man and his 85-year-old wife on the grounds of a cemetery in Delaware on Friday morning. This is according to NBC Philadelphia.
The woman was taken to a Hospital and was pronounced dead. Her husband died on Saturday. Their identities haven’t been released or a clear motive.
Police arrived at the scene and had a shoot-out with Francis, who they had to chase through a wooded area.
Francis was eventually found dead from a gunshot wound around 4 p.m. outside of the cemetery.
It’s being investigated if Francis died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound or a wound from police shooting at him.
