MIAMI- A former Miami football player has been charged for the 2006 murder of his former teammate.
Rashun Jones, 35, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Bryan Pata, who was fatally shot on Nov. 7, 2006. He was arrested and charged on Wednesday.
Jones was a suspect in the case, after investigators discovered that he had fought Pata twice before his was killed and Pata’s girlfriend’s at the time of his death had dated Jones, reports ESPN.
It’s still unclear what evidence led to his death.
