LAS VEGAS – Chance Comanche, a G league player for Stockton Kings is facing murder charges along with his 19-year-old girlfriend in the death of a missing woman, police said.
The remains of Marayna Rodgers, 23, a medical assistant who was last seen in Las Vegas were found in a desert area in Henderson, Nevada, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Comanche, 27, was apprehended by FBI agents Friday in Sacramento, California and is currently being held without bail. Sakari Harnden was arrested Wednesday in Las Vegas on kidnapping charges and was detained on $500,000 bail, according to local reports.
Police say Rodgers was out with friends on Dec. 5 and a prearranged meeting with Harnden, who brought Comanche with her.
Rodgers was never seen alive again and was reported missing on Dec. 7.
‘Early in the investigation, detectives suspected foul play and obtained evidence to arrest Harnden and her boyfriend Comanche for their role in the kidnapping disappearance of Rodgers,” Las Vegas police said in the statement.
