Ex-NFL Player Sergio Brown Missing, Mother Found Dead

ILLNOIS- Former NFL player Sergio Brown is missing, and his mother has been found dead, according to police.

Family members contacted police on Saturday to report that they were unable to contact Brown and his mother, according to FOX 59. A missing persons investigation began, and Myrtle Brown was found dead in a creek near her home, the outlet reports.

Authorities are investigating Myrtle’s death as a homicide.

Sergio Brown, a former Notre Dame football standout signed with the New England Patriots in 2010 as an undrafted free agent.

He’s played seven seasons in the NFL with the Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. He last played in 2016.
