TEXAS- A Family Dollar employee is facing murder charges after fatally shooting a would-be shoplifter on Sunday.
Antonio Batres, 21, is facing a murder charged for shooting the 49-year-old victim in the back after a physical altercation at the Family Dollar store, according to Houston Police.
The victim was attempting to steal from the store when he was confronted by a group of store employees, including Batres.
Authorities say an investigation determined that the victim was shot several times in his back, which shows he was walking away from Batres.
