CALIFORNIA- A father has died after he tried to save his two children at a California Beach on this past weekend.
According to KRON 4, the 40-year-old father jumped into the water at Blind Beach on Sunday to save his 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old, who were pulled in by waves as they were playing too close to the water.
Sonoma County Sheriff Lt. Michael Raasch told the news station “They were both his kids — a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old — apparently he grabbed onto the 4-year-old and was trying to pull him in and apparently got swept out further” adding “he two kids got swept out to sea and the father ended up drowning.”
The father’s body was pulled from the ocean. His two children have been declared dead, and haven’t been recovered.
