TEXAS- A father was fatally shot Friday in a parking lot at a Chuck E. Cheese as he was holding his daughter’s birthday cake.
Calogero Duenes, 24, his wife and daughters, ages 6 and 3 had just arrived at the restaurant.
Surveillance video shows the shooter driving the wrong and getting close to hitting Duenes. Both men got into a verbal altercation before there was gunfire, according to KTRK-TV.
The victim’s wife told the station that he ran inside of the restaurant yelling ” I got shot!” “I got shot”. He was holding his daughter’s birthday cake.
The shooter fled the scene and Duenes was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made.
