CALIFORNIA- Two people have been arrested and charged in the death of an 11-year-old boy a year later.
Roman Anthony Lopez had been reported missing from his home on Jan. 11, 2020. Police announced he was dead the following day, but didn’t provide many details surrounding his death.
Police arrested the boys father, Jordan Piper, 36, and his stepmother, Lindsey Piper, 38 on Thursday. Both are facing charges that include torture, child abuse and poisoning.
Roman’s body was found by police in a storage bin on Jan 11, inside of his family’s home during a search, after he was reported missing.
An autopsy revealed that Roman was malnourished and dehydrated at the time of his death.
