Florida caretaker caught on video beating 88-year-old man gets probation

FLORIDA- A caretaker caught on a hidden camera beating and verbally assaulting his 88-year-old patient was sentenced on Wednesday to only four years of probation and two years of house arrest.

Jonah Delgado, 20, appeared by virtual hearing in court where he pleaded guilty to three third-degree felonies, two counts of elder abuse and battery of a victim over 65, reports FOX News.

In a 55-second video posted on Facebook by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Delgado can be seen listening to music as he attempts to move the victim from his Hospital bed to a wheelchair.

Delgado is seen slapping the elderly man in his face, head and stomach. Prosecutors say that Delgado also punched the man in his stomach several times.
