Florida Lyft Driver Accused Of Raping Drunk Passenger

FLORIDA- A Lyft driver is being accused of raping a female passenger on Sunday, police say.

Kevyn Roja, 26, was charged with sexual battery on a physically helpless victim after a woman told police the driver had raped her early Sunday as she was visiting from Texas, according to the Miami Herald.

The victim told police that Roja raped her inside of his car early Sunday morning.

She stated in a report that she went out with her friends late Saturday in Miami when she began to vomit as she was leaving, according to Miami Beach police.

The woman contacted the app for a ride, and Rojas came to pick her up. When he arrived, he allegedly made a comment about her dress in Spanish.

The woman says she fell asleep in the car and when they arrived at her destination, Rojas drove away and parked his car. He allegedly then jumped to the back seat and began taking off the woman’s clothes.

The alleged victim says she was too drunk to fight Rojas off of her. He dropped her off at the hotel she was staying at.
