Florida Man Who Stabbed, Beat Dog Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison

FLORIDA- A man accused of beating a pit bull puppy and stabbing it 50 times will be serving 10 years in prison.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Brendan Evans, 35, agreed to plead guilty four years after brutally attacking his dog.

Evans is accused of then stuffing the puppy, who was still alive, inside of a suitcase, as it was dying. The dog was treated for its injuries, but died two days after the attack.

Evans was initially charged with 17 counts of animal cruelty, but prosecutors dropped 15 counts in exchange for his guilty plea.

  1. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and
    gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
