Former ‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Skilyr Hicks Dies At 23

SOUTH CAROLINA- Former ‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant Skilyr Hicks, was found dead in her home Monday. She was 23-years-old.

It’s unclear what Hicks died of, but her mother told TMZ that her daughter struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Hicks performed on Season of the NBC talent show competition in 2013 when she was 14 years old. She sang a song she wrote for her late father.

She made it to round 2 before she was eliminated.
