Former police officer Kim Potter was found guilty of manslaughter in the killing of Daunte Wright.
Potter was convicted of manslaughter Thursday for shooting and killing Wright during a traffic stop, saying she had confused her gun for her taser (I’m sure).
The jury was made up of six men and six women. One of the jurors was black.
Potter, 49, shot Wright, 20, after he attempted to flee from police when they were going to arrest for an outstanding warrant. His death sparked outrage and called for protests.
The ex-cop was handcuffed and taken from the courtroom into custody. She’s currently being held without bail until her sentencing on Fed. 18.
Wright was unarmed when Potter killed him.
He was working more than one job to support his toddler at the time of his death.
Potter is facing just 11 years in prison…
