Former Missing Teen Accused Of Murdering Man She Met Online

TEXAS – A 17-year-old girl who was reported missing in September has been indicted on a capital murder in the death of a man she met online, police said.

A grand jury indicted 17-year-old Natalie Navarro this week on allegations that she “intentionally” caused the death of Arturo Pena, 21, by shooting and killing him, according to reports.

Police said Navarro intended to rob Pena with the help of 21-year-old Yordy Martinez, who she told police she had met online weeks before, but police believe she wasn’t being truthful.

Navarro was allegedly in the process of robbing Pena’s belongings when she shot him.

On Aug. 29, police were dispatched to a residence after receiving a report about a person who was passed out in a vehicle. When officers arrived, they determined that the victim, later identified as Pena, was shot dead.

Navarro and Martinez were named persons of interest. She was arrested at the Mexican border and police are still searching for Martinez.

Pena and Navarro allegedly met online.
